If you remember about a month back, we had a Thursday night game postponed due to a death on the opposing team.  So on this Thursday night we played a double header to make up for the postponed game.  Due to a scoreboard malfunction, the details are going to be a little thin, don’t blame me, blame the City

We lost the first game 16-3 but played pretty well over all, quite possible our best game of the season, despite the score.  The game went 5 innings and we lasted the entire 55 minutes and didn’t get run ruled.

I actually missed the final score of the second game, but I believe it was somewhere in the neighboorhood of 18-2.  We lost Kate to a knee injury in the first inning and we are hoping it is nothing major and that she will come back as good as ever.

The rain continued in Austin into Tuesday afternoon, but due to the wet conditions, the City of Austin decided to cancel the Wednesday night game.

Well, after a few months of drought conditions, Austin finally got some rain which was good but it resulted in our game being cancelled.

On this Thrusday night game, we got beat again, this time 22-2.  But in every game there is a lesson to be learned.  And the lesson I learned that night is that it is much better to try and catch a fly ball with your glove instead of your forehead.  I misjudged a flyball into the outfield, charged on it, but instead of catching it with my glove, it bounced off my forehead.  The lump is gone now, but it was quite the conversation piece for a week.
